VICSWIM seeks to ensure that all Victorians have the opportunity to access water safety, survival and swimming programs (for both children and adults), that maximize safety and attitudes ensuring confidence and the ability to enjoy aquatic environments
VICSWIM programs are conducted by fully qualified and experienced teachers and are targeted to the abilities and age of the participants.
VICSWIM has provided Victorians with fun and educational aquatic holiday programs since 1976. VICSWIM focuses on learn to swim and water safety skills, both in pools and open water venues across the state. VICSWIM now offers new programs to meet an increasing community demand for swimming and safety skills and knowledge.
As well as the proven summer holiday swim programs - now titled 'summer kidz', VICSWIM will be introducing a new suite of programs to address this need.

This long standing, proven program is offered for one, two or three weeks during the January school holidays, at pools and open water venues throughout Victoria. Conducted by qualified instructors, and with small class sizes for enhanced learning, the intensive five-day programs cater for participants of all ages and abilities and are supported by the Victorian Government's 'Play it Safe by the Water' campaign.
VICSWIM at open water venues in particular has become extremely popular, allowing participants to enjoy the open water experience in a safe and educational environment. During lessons participants may also use different equipment such as flippers, body board, mask and snorkel. All equipment will be supplied if necessary.

The ‘Skoolz’ program is tailored to meet the needs of kindergarten, primary school or secondary college environments, in providing swim safety / lessons, achieving the requirements of physical education curriculum or sports classes. Whether you have your own facility or not, VICSWIM can provide you with a flexible approach to achieving the student outcomes required over an agreed timeline. Programs can be structured to address the Education Department's VELS and assessment criteria.

Australia’s culturally diverse groups are often best suited to a tailored program to enable them to survive and understand the safety issues within our community, many of whom live within coastal environments. Courses are designed in consultation with various ethnic communities to provide essential skills and information within an enjoyable / fun environment.
The ‘Play it Safe by the Water’ campaign, a Victorian Government initiative, aims to increase community awareness of water safety and change Victorian’s behaviour in and around water, by encouraging people to enjoy our beaches, rivers, lakes, bays and pools in the safest possible manner.
